Frankly, Iâd venture to say that this is good news for GTA Online. Rockstar has previously said that the game wasnât supposed to be the multiplayer component of GTA 5, but rather its own beast, something akin to an MMO. With that in mind, it makes sense that it will need some kind of revenue other than retail sales of GTA 5. Not only do servers cost money to run, but Iâd love to see a version of GTA Online with regular, large-scale content updates including new missions and possibly even new cities. That sort of development doesnât come cheap. | |
